Beach Bus Guide: Line 1
Line 1 is the most popular bus route on Naxos, connecting Naxos Town (Chora) with the island’s best beaches.
Beaches on Line 1
Plaka Beach
One of the longest and most beautiful beaches on Naxos. Crystal-clear water and fine sand. The bus stops right at the beach entrance.
Agios Prokopios
A sheltered bay with calm, shallow water — ideal for families. Several tavernas and beach bars within walking distance.
Agia Anna
A small, picturesque beach with a handful of tavernas. Great for a quieter day by the sea.
Mikri Vigla
A long, windy beach popular with kitesurfers. Two distinct sections: a calmer northern end and a windier southern end.
Practical Tips
- Buy tickets before boarding — tickets are not sold on the bus
- Frequency: Buses run roughly every 1-2 hours during summer
- Last bus: Check the timetable — the last departure from the beaches is usually around 19:00-20:00
- Bring cash — some beach tavernas don’t accept cards
